Leading Chinese Scientist: Don't rule out COVID-19 coming from a Lab
The possibility that the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes the disease COVID-19, may have escaped from a laboratory should not be ruled out
Tests to find out if soil, water or plants contain genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in Bulgaria will cost between BGN 200-300.
Bulgaria’s Executive Agency for the Environment revealed this price at the opening of the country’s first specialized laboratory for the analysis of GMOs in the environment late Wednesday.
Analysis and research will be made at the request of the Regional Inspectorates of Environment and Water, and external entities.
The laboratory will perform qualitative analysis to determine the presence of genetically modified DNA in environmental samples, quantitative analysis to determine the percentage of genetically modified DNA in a sample, and the analysis and validation of genetically modified DNA.
Within a few months the lab will receive full accreditation and will thus allow the authorities to use their results to impose fines on individuals and companies who break the new laws in Bulgaria that ban the release of GMOs into the environment.
